In addition to high current calibrations, Constellation PowerLabs provides a wide range of high voltage calibrations and testing services from two ISO 17025 accredited labs dedicated to high-energy systems. Our high voltage services support both AC and DC voltage calibrations for a variety of industries and equipment types, bringing accurate performance under extreme conditions.
We are uniquely accredited in the Americas to perform impulse testing up to 2.5 million volts and provide specialized support for advanced testing programs.

High Current Testing:
• Up to 17,500 amps traceable to NIST standards
• ISO 17025 accredited up to 5,000 amps
Direct Measurement:
• Direct measurement up to 17,500 amps traceable to NIST
• DC current testing up to 10,000 amps

High Voltage Testing AC and DC
We provide accurate and compliant AC/DC high voltage testing for a wide range of high-voltage equipment.
AC Voltage Testing:
• Up to 1,000 kV RMS & Pk/√2 (50/60 Hz)
• ISO 17025 accredited up to 800 kV
DC Voltage Testing:
• Up to 700 kV
• ISO 17025 accredited for DC up to 450 kV
Common types of equipment we calibrate (but not limited to): resonance test sets, DC test sets, capacitors, dividers, hipot/dielectric testers, HV power supplies, live line indicators, hot sticks, HV capacitance bridges, corona test sets, surge testers, etc.
Impulse Voltage Testing
We specialize in precise impulse testing for critical high-voltage components. We’re the only laboratory accredited in the Americas for the following:
- Lightning Impulse (LI) testing up to 2.5 MV
- Switching Impulse (SI) testing up to 2.5 MV
- Chopped Impulse (LIC) testing up to 2.5 MV
Common types of equipment we calibrate (but not limited to): Impulse dividers and impulse systems.
Tan Delta / High Voltage Capacitance Testing
Our Tan Delta testing services provide accurate dissipation factor and capacitance measurements.
• Tan Delta Bridge measurements
• HV Capacitor testing up to 200 kV
• Tan Delta measurement for dissipation factors (DF) as low as 0.0000025
• Testing at 50/60 Hz

Motor and Generator Test Systems
We offer comprehensive testing for motor and generator systems for maintaining optimal performance.

• Capabilities include Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Systems

Partial Discharge Calibrator Certification
Our partial discharge calibrator certification upholds the integrity of high voltage test equipment.
Only laboratory accredited in North and South America for this parameter:
• ISO 17025 is accredited for partial discharge testing up to 10,000 pC
• Specialized testing for high-voltage systems across industries
