Our Quality Program

As an approved nuclear supplier, we follow strict guidelines and adhere to the following regulations and codes: 10 CFR 50, Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, NQA-1 and ANSI N45.2. Our Quality program is routinely audited by NUPIC and NIAC. These audits, made available to the industry, certify our competence as a nuclear supplier, and aid in streamlining our relationships with other regulated industries.

All of our services align with the scope of our Appendix B program, providing our nuclear customers the benefit of having a single-source vendor for all their calibration and testing needs.

Not only are we an approved nuclear supplier, but we are also an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory under A2LA. This means we can provide accredited calibrations – not only to your clean equipment – but to your contaminated equipment as well.

Importance of Finding a Qualified Lab

Finding a qualified lab to conduct quality measurements and testing is important for many reasons. First, the accuracy of the results depends on the quality of the measurements and calibration. Secondly, if the results are not accurate, it can affect the environmental safety of your facility and employees.

As a full-service calibration laboratory, we adhere to different quality requirements. When working with contaminated equipment, our processes follow more strict standards. Constellation PowerLabs is licensed by federal agencies to have “controlled” contaminated equipment in several labs located at our main headquarters. Our radiation calibration is completed according to NC3 323 specifications.

What is the Process of Calibration?

The process of calibration is verifying the accuracy of an instrument’s measurement. It is important to ensure that measurements are accurate to make informed decisions as well as support production. The calibration process can be divided into two main parts:

1. Establishing the accuracy of a measurement, which involves verifying that the instrument is providing accurate results.

2. Verifying the accuracy of a measurement, which involves comparing the results of the instrument to known standards.
